In Hungary, the recognition procedure of diplomas which has been obtained in a foreign country is based on the Act C of 2001 on the recognition of foreign certificates and degrees, which is applicable to any certificate issued under the jurisdiction of a foreign country for the purpose of the recognition, thereof as equivalent to a counterpart certificate obtainable in Hungary.
In case of healthcare qualifications, the recognition procedure can be conducted by two competent authorities based on the following classification.
